Is it a bird?! Is it a plane?! No! It’s a new call for submissions for the Coin-Operated Press NERD ZINE!!!
Dust off your cosplay, put on your one ring, find the droids you’ve been looking for, stop your variant from destroying the world, secure your glass slipper, pack your rock salt and holy water, roll for initiative, may the odds be ever in your favour, not you Guillermo, and discover that this zine is bigger on the inside when you submit all of your fantastic fan art!
We are looking for: articles, illustrations, short stories, zine excerpts, photography, poetry, artwork of any medium, adverts, posters, flyers, short essays, recipes, comic-strips, reviews, collage, fan art, cosplays, and anything else you can put your imagination to.
The finished zine will be A5 in size and printed in full colour.
Send us your submissions by filling in this Google form.
The deadline is midnight BST on Friday 12th November 2021.

Coin-Operated Press is an artist-led social enterprise established in 2020. We are based in Scotland and run by zine-makers Katie McCann and Chloe Henderson. We host workshops, run zine fairs, create educational online content, produce, publish, and distribute our own collaborative zines. We aim to welcome our own community of an open and fluid collective of people of all genders, sexualities, ages, races, abilities, and backgrounds to get involved in Coin-Operated Press. As a company, we strive to be as sustainable and environmentally friendly as possible. We value intersectional feminist culture and are especially interested in working with the LGBTQ + community and marginalised folks. Zines enable adaptable learning and provide a creative outlet that can be accessed by anyone regardless of experience or skill level. We use our talents to help others to develop their own through the power of collaborative support. We believe everybody is an artist, and all you need are the right tools and a little encouragement to have your voice heard in our publications.
