Hi there, my name is Chloe Henderson and welcome to Coin-Operated Press!
As you can probably tell, I am getting into a spooky mood! It’s October, and we are just about to release our Hallozine. Thank you so much for all of your submissions! There were so many, and we were really really honoured to receive so many submissions. The zine itself has been sent off to the printers already, but I thought that I would show you how I made the cover for our Hallozine.
So, I am going to show you how I took my illustration, and turn it into a cover. I will show you exactly how I took my illustration, digitised it, and turned it into our spooky Hallozine cover! Let’s get started!
The first step is to illustrate your design. I am drawing a spooky pumpkin friend, with the words “Hallozine” for its cut-out mouth. The easiest way to do this is in black and white, with simple ink, as it makes it much easier to edit… but of course, this is your own design! So, do whatever you want!!
Then… you will just have to watch what I do next in our latest YouTube video…
Thank you so much for watching! I hope you enjoyed this video, and I hope you enjoyed learning how we make our Coin-Operated Press zine covers.
